Menopause Help
Whilst it has a history of traditional use to relieve menopause symptoms, a few studies are now confirming Rehmannia’s effectiveness in combating night sweats and hormone disruptions. Its star phytonutrient, caltalpol, appears to be responsible for many menopausal benefits due to its ability to stimulate the adrenal cortical hormones. These hormones are responsible for the production of sex hormones which alleviate hot flushes, night sweats and vaginal dryness. In an animal model, Rehmannia prevented osteoporotic bone loss induced by ovariectomy (to induce menopause). Rehmannia alleviated the decrease in the trabecular bone mineral density (the mesh used to build bones), and increased cortical bone thickness and trabeculation of the bone marrow spaces. In the study, this herb not only prevented bone loss, it increased the bone matrix and thickness of bones.
Traditional use
With a history of use stretching back at least 2,000 years, the root of Rehmannia is counted as one of the 50 most important herbs in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Most notably, Rehmannia is considered the number one herb for disorders related to the kidneys and adrenal glands. It is considered to be a cooling herb that has the ability to balance the “yin”, and is renowned as a longevity herb.
Traditionally, Rehmannia is used to treat anaemia, palpitations, osteoporosis and adrenal fatigue. It is thought to nourish the blood and tonify the life force (jing), and reverse premature greying hair due to blood loss.

I purchased this product along with several other herbs to help increase red blood cells, being that I have Sickle Cell Anemia. It’s too soon to tell if it’s effective, but I have experienced less complications. I’ll know if it’s working with upcoming blood tests. It’s a little sticky, because of it’s natural contents and it tastes fairly good.
Update: I never want to be without this product. It has reduced my pain levels dramatically. I also find it to be a great blood tonic (rebuilder) with significant anti-inflammatory properties.

Excellent price point and high quality. It has a pleasant taste so need not be encapsulated. I initially got a sample as part of a promotional program from 911healty. However, my review was not influenced by that fact.
Rehmannia stimulates the secretion of erythropoietin by the kidney that in turn stimulates red blood cell production in the bone marrow. Low levels are constantly secreted by the kidneys to compensate for normal red blood cell turnover. Thusly, Rhemannia helps to normalize red blood cell (ethrocyte) levels should levels drop too low causing anemia.

I bought this product directly from the 911healty, but wanted to leave a review here. My 8 year old, 65-lb rescue dog was spayed at only 13 weeks. She has started to leak more and more in her sleep. Early spaying can cause a hormonal imbalance in dogs (lack of estrogen), which leads to a weakened sphincter. Our first vet prescribed Proin ER 75mg, but that left her with a lot of behavioral side effects: anxiety, restlessness, unable to sleep at night, irritability, etc. so I looked up natural supplements.
I give her a mix of herbal extract powders from 911healty,: wild yam extract (450mg), rehmannia root extract (450mg), pumpkin seed extract (450mg), corn silk extract (175mg), and saw palmetto extract (175mg) daily. In addition, I also give her one capsule of Soy Isoflavone (different brand because I couldn’t get a straight answer to one of my questions from 911healty,) and 4 drops of red clover extract (~125mg). Although it hasn’t completely eliminated her problem, it has greatly reduced it where we are no longer doing laundry everyday. This leads me to believe that this concoction of herbs has proestrogenic effects on her that’s helping her strengthen her bladder muscles. Thank you, 911healty,, for providing high quality, budget-friendly herbal extract powders. It’s 4x cheaper to go this route than buy dog supplements with the same ingredients and amounts.

I bought this for my 15+ year old cat with uncontrolled diabetes, abnormal kidney values on a blood panel, and was getting anemic. I can’t say for a fact how much this one addition has contributed (he does also get insulin), but he has gotten much better on all counts and I feel like it’s helping him.
