Unlike some it has no fishy taste so can be added to tea, coffee or smoothies without affecting the taste. I’m a critical care RN, and I’m a bit skeptical of supplements. You cannot swallow something and expect it to be delivered to your body unchanged after digestion. Having said that, here’s what happened: a few months ago, a friend of mine (also a nurse) was telling me about a new diagnosis of SIBO that she had. I won’t go into the details, but it’s pretty new on the medical scene. She had a combination of leaky gut (you can google that) and bacterial overgrowth in the gut. These things are pretty common with the usual American diet, especially the leaky gut. Once you change your diet, the gut doesn’t just heal immediately. It causes all manner of problems; inflammation, fatigue, weight gain, on and on. And you really have to make a drastic change in your diet, permanently, if you want to repair your gut that way. I train regularly and for past couple of months I was experiencing some inflammation in my joints. My trainer said that collagen is very good for it. As I researched , I found 911healty to be a good brand. Although slightly expensive than others, but if you are looking for quality it is not good to compromise on price. Since I was having collagen for the first time, I didn’t want to have anything that would be smelly or sticky. I read reviews and most said that it dissolves easily and doesn’t smell. In my experience, I found it to be true. I mixed it with Vitamin C and took it in the morning post-workout before breakfast. I felt that it restored my energy and also made my body flexible. I’m in my early 30s and decided to start taking some pre-emptive measures to protect my skin, collagen production, and overall appearance. In fairness, 1.5 months in, I did not see much progress or change, which left me a little skeptical BUT upon closer examination, my nails are growing faster and are noticeably stronger (even my toenails). I dissolve a spoon of the collagen powder along with some vitamin C in room temperature water every morning before breakfast. While it is unflavored, it somehow still has a flavor. The first time, I purchased the lemon/berry flavor from CVS, which has a more enjoyable taste on its own – for me, the vitamin C balances out the less then desirable flavor.. plus 911healty sells it for less! The collagen does require a good stir as it seems to be a little more gelatinous – I wouldn’t recommend adding to cold water, unless it’s going in a smoothie.
With dinner, I have my multivitamin, a capsule of fish oil (family history of high cholesterol), some iron, and D3 (for bone health).

I never really do reviews, but felt compelled to do one for this product. About three months ago, I started having severe shoulder pains. Purchased a few years ago for healthier hair/skin/nails/bones etc. after reading the rave reviews and since I’m not getting any younger. I don’t have issues with those so can’t say I noticed a change. I stopped taking it after the first bag.
Now fast forward 3 years: with my last couple birthdays (mid-50’s female) my legs have gotten extremely stiff. At first I thought my muscles were sore from my weekly strengthening and weight lifting, but my legs starting to hurt every day. It didn’t help that some days I didn’t walk more than car/store/house, and I have 30 extra pounds on me. I don’t have the best diet and don’t like many vegetables, so I’ve been lacking in nutrition. I’ve also had varicose veins since I was a child so I thought with age it was related to that. White powder, no smell or taste (I mix in 1/2 bottle of room temperature water with a squirt of cherry Mio or Kool Aid liquid). Then after I sat for a couple hours I stood up and was immediately aware that I had zero stiffness and almost no pain in my legs! I was beyond shocked. I’ve read reviews where many said their joints felt better after a month. Maybe I was so extremely low in collagen? I read that the tendons and ligaments are made of collagen, and those were definitely where my main problems were.
This morning I was excited and apprehensive to see how I’d feel getting out of bed. Was this real? My left leg felt almost normal, and my right leg only felt somewhat stiff with half the pain on the outer foot tendon. Usually I need to stand there and stretch, and then after limping 20 feet I can walk. But this morning I just starting walking and soon my right leg felt fine. Took another dose of collagen with water before breakfast, and today has been great. I’ve been able to sit and immediately walk after standing. Zero stiffness! I can put one leg in the cross-leg position and I don’t feel the extreme tightness all around my knee. I feel like I did years ago, and after getting this second chance, I’m going to take much better care of myself. I also noticed less pain in my back last night while in bed, even though that pain has been minor and with a bit a stretching had been decreasing.
It’s important for me to tell you that no one has paid me or had anything to do with this review. I rarely review a product (check my history) but this has been a miracle for me. I must be an extreme exception because I haven’t read any one else having such instant relief, so I don’t expect it to help anyone so quickly (a few hours!). But I’m writing this so that even if you don’t feel different right away, know that it IS working. With aging, changes start to happen slowly and then suddenly it seems like there’s no going back. I don’t care if it helps my hair or skin or even wrinkles. The fact that I can now stand up and immediately walk without stiffness and pain makes me so thankful to Neocell. This stuff is AMAZING!!! My husband and I are both using this & it’s both of our 1st collagen experience. I’m 43 & he is 44. We both saw noticeable changes after 3 days!!! I originally ordered because my hair was like straw & breaking and I still had 2 weeks until my hair appointment! lol So I remembered hearing about how great powdered collagen was and figured this may be the time to try it. I never expected such quick results this great! I add to my lemon & lime water in my water bottle every morning and can not taste it as long as I have the lemon & lime in it. Even though it’s tasteless, if you were to drink in plain water you can taste it a little but as long as your beverage is flavored in some way you shouldn’t taste it. I actually cut my dose in 1/2 and do twice because it made my water feel different with a whole scoop, and slightly tasted it, but I’m using water with fresh squeezed lemon & lime so it doesn’t have a strong flavor on its own and my tastebuds are sensitive. I work out and try to take care of my health. I’m in my 30s now and getting older. I cut my hair off two years ago and then I had regret the cut. It was also thin at that time. I started taking Collagen and my hair is grown back out long and half way down my back, and very thick. It also helps to allow my natural nails to grow long and not break, they are strong. It also helps my joints because I work out. I like that it’s unflavored and put it in my smoothies or coffee. The price is great compared to other brands! I’ve tried other Collagen brands and they have caused me to break out in a rash. This one doesn’t do that! Great product and will continue to purchase!

Here’s my Collagen supplement story (that I wrote for my FB friends who witnessed the pain I’ve been suffering, and for those of you who may be experiencing similar pain):
About a year ago I injured my elbow and although I tried multiple remedies, it only became more irritated and more painful. Keyboards and repetitive movement (almost everything I did) only made it worse. It simply would not heal. The pain got to the point that I could not pour a cup of tea without it feeling like coals of fire were searing my entire arm. I had to have others carry the groceries. Pouring from a gallon of milk was impossible without extra props and help. I went to the doctor, and after multiple consultations, the verdict was that it was part of life and “welcome to the club.”
I was not thrilled with the idea of having to depend on the prescribed Tylenol and Ibuprofen for relief the rest of my life. So, I started researching and stumbled across some interesting reviews on 911healty regarding results people were seeing by taking collagen supplement.
While I’ve seen a lot about lotions, hair, and cosmetic products containing collagen, I’ve not heard a lot of talk or recommendations on taking it as a supplement.
Collagen “facts” I learned:
– 30% of all protein in the body is collagen.
– 70% of all collagen in the body is in connective tissue.
– it’s essential for hair, nails, bones, joints, etc.
– it is used for help with building muscles.
– it aids with energy and endurance.
So, I figured I’d try it.
BTW — Let me say that we eat very healthy: organic, top-quality food, balanced diet, and I take excellent vitamin supplements — daily. No greasy, fast-foods, refined sugars, and processed foods or additives. So I was doing all diet stuff right.
However, about 6 weeks after I started taking collagen supplements, I noticed that my nails were growing strong and no longer wimpy and breaking. At first I didn’t think much of it, but then I realized that the pain in my joints was …umm… kinda not there any more. I waited for a while to see if it was a fluke or if was just my imagination. But seriously, it’s been several weeks now, that I no longer experience that burning coal-fire pain. Last night when I went to bed I realized that I could not remember the last time I had taken an ibuprofen.
I love being able to pour my coffee, do my computer/keyboard stuff, and live life without the excruciating pain that had become a part of if over the last year.
I take the collagen supplement daily, but others in the family have seen great results with taking it only 3x a week. I think it depends on the body’s need.
I’m not saying that collagen is a fix all magic (there is no such thing). However, if there’s a deficit of a nutrient in the body, then it will scream for it. In my case, I believe the evidence points to the fact that I was needing collagen, and I believe there are many others out there who are in a similar situation. From what I’ve seen, it’s worth trying.
PS: I was ready to post this when my 19-year old called and ask if I’d drop something off at her work. So, I decided to run drop it off before posting. (Ok, I jogged and walked part of the way too). When I got there, a 20-year old colleague of hers asked if I was her sister. That’s the first time I’ve ever had that happen. I think I’m gonna keep taking this STUFF!

I am seeing a slight difference after using the product for 10 days. It’s not time yet to completely review about this product. But sure I will once I complete at least a bottle. It actually made me take a lot of time to buy this product not because whether to include it in my routine or not but the authenticity of the product. It’s because I read a lot of reviews saying it’s easy to end up with a duplicate one when buying especially online. So I went with 911healty as this company import items from New York. Hope I received genuine product and see results soon !!
